almost there

I’m madly cranking stuff out to finish up my first term here. Who needs sleep? Only 11 days to go until I’m on a plane headed west and 12 days until I’m standing on a mountain. I can’t wait. I generally dislike traveling by air, but there’s something amazing about stepping on a plane when you get to go on a vacation and leave absolutely everything you were doing behind. You know things have been crazy when you can smile at an Air Canada agent and think, “I’m really happy to see you!”

Fortunately, a delicious capsule of coffee arrived from Thetis Island last week and it’s keeping me fueled.

My projects for the term are shaping up nicely so far. Much remains though. Somehow a bunch of people got invited to one of our demos on Friday so I hope we don’t go down in flames. OK, I’m back to work. I have to slap together a crufty web application in the next three days so I better get to it.
