why the PM needs an image consultant

The NDP is freaking out over Stephen Harper’s image consultant and wants to know how much money she makes, blah blah. It’s pretty clear that Harper needs some help with dressing himself, so pay her six figures! Anything so we don’t have to endure this pain every time he picks an outfit. Two cases in point:

This is Harper at the Calgary Stampede. He looks positively awful in this picture, and yes, that vest is leather. I think I saw a dude wearing the same vest at The Eagle a couple weekends ago…

This is even more terrible because he’s standing beside other foreign leaders. I can’t say it better than Leah McLaren did, but seriously, he looks like he should be slinging sloppy joes to our troops in Afghanistan. Actually, our army gear is probably more fashionable than that awful fishing vest with his nasty pleated trousers. How terribly embarassing.
