Some long-lost photos

When I moved my photos and blog over to a new system a year or so ago, I didn’t bother moving the old content over. Phooey! There are some real gems in there. I was flipping through some photos of my old adventures and found a few that are worth revisiting.

This is me in a wig shop on a day that was so hot my face was sweating. Don’t I look lovely? Lesson learned: I’d make an awful drag queen.

Here my awesome brother and I are displaying our crispy burnt arms in contrast with our pasty white Canadian skin. We’re in an airport bathroom… somewhere.

Here is a shot of me riding my awesome 70s Soviet motorbike through the hills in northern Vietnam. That thing was such a piece of crap. It was a bit scary too because the foot brake didn’t work so hot. You’ll notice that I was cleverly wearing open sandals, which are always a fine choice for motor sports.

Here I am as GI Jeremy (with a touch of Tommy Gnosis) after a Halloween party. I was trying to impress a boy by inscribing his name on my arm. The GI Jeremy look is so low maintenance. Maybe I should go back to that some day. I remember this party quite vividly because it was at a community hall somewhere in Edmonton and my friend’s boyfriend passed out inside of a locked car that no one could find the keys for. It was probably -15 outside and we shook the car on its suspension forever trying to wake him up. In the end we piled into someone else’s pickup truck and left him there until the morning. Nice, huh?
