It wasn't a particularly eventful day. I got up and went for hungover breakfast (mmmm eggs benedict) with the boys. I drank too much bad coffee though and it kinda made my head spin. In the pouring rain, which then turned to snow, I set out for Home Depot to pick up some paint and supplies. I finally got around to painting a tragically white dividing wall that has been dying for a splash of color:
It's a lovely dark chocolate brown. I think I'm going to paint my sleeping nest the same color.
I dug up a post from last year on my birthday that lists three things I thought I should fix.
One of them I've failed miserably on (I can get by on my lovely Japanese Tama guitar from Kasia, but I haven't improved much) and one of them I've made a dull attempt at (I have a gym membership but I'm too lazy to get in there more than once or twice a week. My arms might be slightly bigger than last year. Throw me a bone.) The thing about creating less distance in long-distance relationships certainly hasn't worked out very well... bah! That one blew up in my face. One thing I can say is that I've made a lot of really awesome friends in Seattle. The Red Deer-Edmonton kids are still pretty far away though. At least there are airplanes.
Tomorrow is another day at the office. Pretty regular, but that's mostly the way I want it. See you tomorrow when I'll be 24.
