Yo brother,

Let's do it. Software is a bore anyway. Where shall we establish campaign headquarters?

Matt,

Thanks for your comment.

Yeah, I think we're seeing a real shift away from the Martin-style Liberal in this campaign, which gets me really excited about the future of the party. Both Ignatieff and Rae represent the true centre-left of the party, which I believe will help to polarize the centre of the spectrum within the party. This is a good thing.

Is Michael making any stops in Seattle? Let me know and I'll take him shopping.

I would agree with your statement: "Ignatieff is a staunch (and seemingly aggresive) federalist. I’m attracted to that."

That's one of the things that attracted me to his camp as well. The remainder of your comments paint a fair analysis of the man, and the criticisms you've raised have been done so objectively and are seen as legitimate to many persons. However, I think he's been tarred as a right-of-centre candidate, when in fact, he's very much a left of centre liberal. Standing up for human rights has never been right of centre, and Michael has been aggressive on environmental policy.

As for your final note, he certainly could take it up a notch in terms of excitement. I think he's making progress on that. The recent Warhol-style campaign look attempts to address that, and shows Iggy's various colours. "The many faces of Ignatieff."

Great post.
