Summer in Seattle
I have been so horribly neglectful about updating my blog. But it is summer, so I guess I was taking a bit of a blog vacation. Summer in Seattle means that the Underground Tour is in full swing and popping by my window every few minutes on the weekends.
New stuff:
- Much-needed (real) vacation is 3 days away! I’ll be hanging at the family spa in Kelowna for 4 days where my busiest activity will be to reach for my mojito while I’m basking in the hot Okanagan sun. Then I’m off to Montreal for 6 days to chill, eat good food, drink good drinks, and bask in the Quebecois lifestyle with R.
- Met up with R in San Francisco a couple weekends ago. We had fun exploring during the day, but both of us were kinda too tired to really take in the nightlife. Sadly I forgot to take my camera and have no pictures to post
- Went to see my little Hong Kong nephews in Kelowna last weekend. Those little guys are like two feet taller than the last time I saw them!
- Bought a new digital camera. Ye old 1.3 megapixel Sony (circa 2001) was starting to wear thin, so I upgraded to the Sony DSC-T9. It’s kind of like upgrading from one of those early 90s cell phones to a brand new Nokia.
- Work. Too much work. I’ve learned that supporting a production software environment is kinda like being a doctor: people never stop getting sick, so you’ll never not be busy. Likewise, software never stops breaking.
