Location: my place with my ten year old espresso machine

I made espresso for the first time in forever today at my place. Like my brother does with chai, I will rate my own coffee. I set myself up for a perfect Sunday morning: a copy of last week's "China Rising 2" Globe and Mail, croissants with raspberry jam, and scrambled eggs. Delicious. I ground up the beans, but I think I ground them too coarse for espresso; the coffee wasn't as flavourful and the first cappuccino I made tasted like milky mop water. It was barely drinkable and might not even have deserved one star. However, I learned my lesson and I couldn't be defeated by such an amateur mistake. This time I ground the beans much more fine and the espresso turned out to be excellent. I steamed the milk and put it all together to make a 4-star cappuccino. I'm going to keep practicing though to make a 5-star cappuccino. I know I can do it.

two days ago, i was making a toasted bagel with cream cheese and tomato, and i thought to myself, i really need some orange juice with this, and i was like holy shit, that is a total jeremy and kasia meal. do you remember that?
and popcorn and oj, that was totally our combination too.
