Usually those little quotes on globeandmail.com are quite useless and stupid, but today I fell off my chair while reading this clever one:
While a lack of water will kill you in the desert, you'll never go hungry because of the sand which is there.
-- William Bedford, Toronto
Hats off to you, William. I had one of those for lunch today. It was a chicken tender blt from the company cafeteria. It was somewhat satisfying, but I'm worried the company cafeteria is trying to make me fat. Who puts a deep fried chicken tender in a sandwich, wraps it in bacon, and adds mayo? You know, if I get fatter, I might just stay at my desk longer because it's too much effort to get up and walk home.

I do remember the worker dog! That was a lovely drawing. I remember it fondly. That's pretty much how I look when I'm at work. I wear a hard hat too. I have heard that Seattle is seismically unstable. You can never be too safe.
